Ett släpp på Defected med min grupp Powers That Be där Roland Clark gästade på vokal. Fick även en fin remix av Warren Clarke. Acapellan har kunnat höras i oändligt många mixset och används än idag.

Claptone gjorde en remix 2016 till sin samling Masquerade som kan höras här.

Under denna tid vid 2003 håller jag fortfarande kontakt med Giles Goodman som signade ”Shake It Up” till England några år tidigare. Han flyger ibland över till mig för att göra låtar ihop. En söndag i studion, så slängde vi ihop en ”Planet Rock”-Remix på 5 timmar, där vi lånade delar från det klassiska släppet med ”Afrika Bambaataa & The Soul Sonic Force”. När han kom tillbaka till England så pressade han 10 white-labels som han noga funderade på vem som skulle få. Ett exemplar av dessa går till Simon Dunmore, som driver Defected, kanske det mest respekterade skivbolaget i världen sedan starten 1999 när det kommer till riktig house-musik.

När Simon spelar den på sitt kontor i London så kommer Roger Sanchez in, som skall spela på Ministry Of Sound och bara skriker rätt ut att han måste få den här skivan! Defected vill signa den och vi får ett enormt förskott! Jag får dock lite mer jobb för att färdigställa produktionen, eftersom det blir för dyrt att köpa loss master-rättigheter från samplingarna, så spelas alla delar om av en specialist på området vilket kostar cirka 15.000 kr. Sedan skall dessa in i nya produktionen. Vi har även anlitat house-legenden Roland Clark för vokalen, och även denna skall in på ett bra sätt. Allt detta fixar jag själv.

När originalet fått sin form med nya ljuden och sången så görs en remix av Warren Clarke och en remix görs av Tommy och mig. Simon Dunmore hade en remix-idé, så han flög över hit till mig och tillsammans i min studio gjorde vi Pierre J-remixen. Powers That Be Vs Roland Clark ‎– Planet Rock och med B-sidan Funky Planet släpptes som Defecteds släpp nummer 74 och acapellan kan faktiskt höras lite överallt än idag; ”Last night a had a dream that I lived in a speaker…”

En uppdatering av vinjetten gjordes under 2003.

”In true ‘Homerun’ fashion, ‘Twelve’ gets straight to it with a solid techno foundation and a very aggressive ride. With the use of some great high pitch pads and filters ‘Twelve’ pushes forward with the occasional reggae sounding drum riff and vocal
snippet adding a fun dimension to the mix. This is definitely a peak time tune that will have any crowd screaming. Next we have the Man-To-Man-Slo-Mo-Mix’ of twelve, very
different tune but equally as good. This mix is a very laid back sexy house version but still contains some of the larger pads you wouldn’t typically hear in a chill version, which I found very appealing. Finally we have the ‘Homeruns Insane Beats’, and the final but nastiest mix of ‘Twelve’. This mix simply cuts hard, and what it is to play. I
particularly like the continued use of the reggae drums in this monster, and I only wish it was extended a couple of minutes. So bottom line a brilliant record that is a must grab upon release mid March of 2003!”

”Radar is simply a shining chunky monster for just about any dance floor. With aggressive techy drum patterns and grinding tribal beats its sure to push the floor to its limits, especially when combined with some very nice acidy pads that lift the tune that much higher!
On the flip a similar remix of Radar only Much heavier with a very deep sustaining bass that just rumbles through the mix. I definitely prefer the second cut as it’s much more forceful and authoritative with all the right buzzy bits for the late night crawlers. Keep an eye out for this record in February 2003!”
