Archive 2001 – P3 Remix in the making

Here is an overview of the software used in the making of P3 Remix 2000-2001.

All vinyls was recorded into WAV-files in Sound Designer II.

Then it was converted into mp3.

All correct metadata was added to the files.

Cue-points was added.

PCDJ was the player and the mix was recorded into Sound Designer II.

This mix was added into the MOTU program AudioDesk. All voiceover and jingles was added.

On the second screen you could see the files and the mixer.

To my great pleasure, I received a new contract for another year of broadcasting on Swedish National Radio with my own program “P3 Remix”. The format was the same. Almost two full hours of mixed music every week. Why change a winning concept? 😉 Here are some selected shows.

Archive 2001 – Espionage – Sex Education

After the success with the last single, Espionage released this follow up single on the same record label as the last one. A funky TB-303 did the lead. This song became a club-hit in UK.

Later that same year, Scooter released their new single “Ramp! (The Logical Song)” and to huge surprise, I found my own melody in their production. Do you think that this was a copy of my melody?
